Remember that report on new models coming from Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors we did back in April? It would seem that it holds more water than one would think. Yes, new models are coming to the U.S. due to a collaboration between Nissan and Mitsubishi – a pickup truck and a battery-electric vehicle (BEV). Neither…
Safety is an important factor that comes into the car-buying process. Everyone wants their car to be safe, sure, but every consumer has their own checklist of what they’re looking for. Some want more control and good driver handling, whereas others may be more family-oriented, and others like advanced safety features that just make driving…
In early 2024, there was a lot of projection insight data showing that the average American consumer is not interested in electrified vehicles. After looking at the Outlander PHEV sales for 2023, we’d have to disagree. Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) sold 6,681 Outlander Plug-in Hybrid units, which represented a total increase of 240.7…
It may be surprising, but Mitsubishi Motors isn’t a brand that specializes only in SUVs. Especially after the Mitsubishi Mirage was discontinued, this may be hard to believe. Overseas is a different story. Mitsubishi makes passenger electric kei cars, minivans, regular cargo vans, and even pickup trucks. So, why haven’t we seen anything else over…
We’re nearing the end of February 2024, but we still have the rest of the year to look forward to. It hasn’t been all that bad just yet, and things are looking up. The same could be said for the auto industry. Despite so-called professionals claiming automakers have made a mistake to go electric, the…
Things are going to get pretty hectic over the next few years for the auto industry. With every major automaker planning to release some BEV models by 2025-2027, we’re expecting to see a whole new segment of the market open up. Some sources say the risk automakers are taking on consumers making the switch may…
2023 has been surprisingly busy for Mitsubishi Motors. Now that the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance is in full swing, sharing resources and even full models across the three automakers, the Japanese automaker is seeing some changes to its lineup. Growing in some segments and shrinking in others, Mitsubishi Motors is known for its SUVs and the Outlander…
Mitsubishi Motors may be known as an automaker for mostly SUVs, but there have been times when the automaker surprised consumers and the auto industry. Currently, a little behind on the development of battery-electric vehicles (BEV), we’re hoping the new Ampere BEV facility can help get Mitsubishi back on track, but they weren’t always slow…
Mitsubishi Motors models are known for their reliability and long-living powertrain. Thanks to the Mitsubishi Motors basic limited warranty for 5 years/60,000 miles, a powertrain limited warranty for 10 years/100,000 miles, many of their vehicles can keep on going for years and years. Even vehicles we no longer see in the states have been known…
“And we have lift off!” At least, that’s what we think the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance should be saying after announcing its plans for the new Ampere battery-electric vehicle (BEV) facility. Initially announced in 2022, Ampere was a proposal by Renault to build a new facility to handle production of BEVs and other electrified options and take…
