Engine Type
The 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander decreases the lineup to nine trims – ES, ES 2.5 with Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC), SE, SE 2.5 with S-AWC, Black Edition, SE Black Edition with S-AWC, SEL, SEL 2.5 with S-AWC, and the Platinum Edition. Many of the trims are equipped with Mitsubishi Motors’ Super All-Wheel Control all-wheel drive system. Every trim comes equipped with the same engine, a 2.5-liter MIVEC DOHC four-cylinder direct-injection engine capable of generating 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque.
Driving and Handling
Every trim also comes with continuously variable transmission (CVT), able to switch between gears seamlessly without any of that jutting forward feeling some cars have. Fuel economy has a slight difference depending on the drivetrain the model comes with. The standard fuel economy is 24/27 mpg city/highway, and trims that come with S-AWC have a fuel economy of 24/26 mpg city/highway.
