Mitsubishi Motors has a lot of vehicle concepts up in the air between new battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) from Ampere, the pickup truck between Mitsubishi and Nissan, and the North American “Momentum 2030” strategy concepts. While we eagerly wait for those new concepts, the 2025 model year lineup is getting some upgrades and new features to keep these SUVs in the modern age of car technology and style. Here is a quick look at what the new 2025 Mitsubishi Motors lineup has to offer.

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander is the result of all the success the 2022 outlander introduced to the auto market when the automaker launched a new generation of the iconic SUV. With talk of a mid-cycle refresh, the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander and the 2025 will look a little different, but more details on that exact change in appearance will be released closer to the 2025 Outlander launch date in Q1 2005. In addition to the facelift, a new 12.3-inch infotainment system has been added as the standard to the interior of the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander.

Soon after the Outlander came back with a new look, the smaller Outlander Sport also returned with a new look. Spunky and ready for adventure, the Outlander Sport features the adventure-ready Mitsubishi’s All-Wheel Control (AWC) system. A standard on all trims, and the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport continues to bring great value in an award-winning package to the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.

A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is a great choice for consumers interested in going green but still wary of BEVs and charging stations. The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid, or PHEV, is seeing some new comforts added to the interior, such as front heated seats on all trims, and heated steering wheel and panoramic sunroof as the standard on the SEL trim. The Platinum Edition trim returns, featuring a special Black Diamond paint and Alloy Silver roof color combination for the paint job. The powertrain of the 2025 model year has a small tweak from the 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV model year.

When the “Eclipse” nameplate returned to the Mitsubishi lineup, we thought the automaker’s history as a rally race car was coming back. Instead, we got a crossover. At first, fans were outraged, but sales for the 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross continue to rise. In recent years, a Black Edition was introduced, a sort of tradition in the industry to make an all-black model, including tires and emblems. For 2025, the Black Edition its own unique look with a revised front lip and rear spoiler. Keeping up with the rest of the market, Mitsubishi has also introduced car-connected services with Mitsubishi Connect in the Outlander PHEV and the 2025 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.

It seems like a handful of the Mitsubishi models will be getting some upgrades for 2025. Now strictly an SUV and Crossover lineup, ever since the automaker discontinued the Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback, Mitsubishi Motors needs to make sure its SUVs are top notch for the competition.
