Mitsubishi Nabs #1 TV Spot with Auto Deals
2017 has been going pretty well for Mitsubishi Motors. They’ve released limited edition trims for two models, the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and discontinued Mitsubishi Lancer. They also debuted the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross at the Geneva Motor Show, but the highlight of it all is their 100 year Anniversary. 2017 marks 100 years of being in the automotive business for Mitsubishi, and as a means of tooting their own horn, they recently released a commercial that not only quotes their customers, but also is the most watched car commercial for mid-July 2017.
Now, one may wonder exactly how a commercial is measured and named “most watched.” The statement comes from iSpot.tv, a real-time TV ad measurement company that analyzes TV impressions across more than 10 million smart TVs and 118 broadcast and cable networks. The data includes the tendency to watch a commercial versus switching the channel or other means of interruption, creative wearout or whether or not the ad still connects with customers, and then compares that data to the industry average.
So, with that in mind, Mitsubishi’s latest commercial outperformed GMC, Chevrolet, and Ford. Why are we talking about the success of a commercial? Because for Mitsubishi’s upcoming “100 Year Anniversary Sales Event”, Mitsubishi Motors has noted deals of up to $2,000 cash back or zero percent APR for 72 months plus $500 cash back. That’s quite the deal. Not to mention, they’re touting their icon vehicles, the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander and 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, starting at $23,495 and $19,795 respectively.
During the commercial, quotes by real Mitsubishi customers are generated on parts of the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander itself to highlight some of its notable features.

Then again, they already have. 2017 will be the year the states finally gets a PHEV from Mitsubishi with the revival of their first ever automobile, the Mitsubishi Model A.
