Cars for High School or College Grads
Your child has grown up and is going on to new adventures. They finished high school, or even college. Bumming rides from friends has turned a little sour though, and they need some of their own freedom, especially if they’re a college grad. Maybe as the parent, you’d like to celebrate that fact with a new (or used) set of wheels. But, what kind of car would be best for a teen driver? There’s a couple of things to consider.
Finding a car that’s affordable is as important as it is safe. Take the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage for instance. It’s stylish, and has a starting MSRP of $12,995. In fact, it was recently named by Growella the “Cheapest Car to Lease.” Sometimes that’s the way to go. There are other options though.
We have a couple of options here, but if looking for mileage, the Mitsubishi Mirage is again another good choice. With 37 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway, it can go pretty far. If your new driver is a techie, you may want to also look at the new Mitsubishi Outlander Limited Edition and Mitsubishi Lancer Limited Edition models. They’re both affordable and come with plenty of modern tech. Moreover, the IIHS named the Mitsubishi Outlander and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport the best used vehicles for teen drivers.
Mitsubishi has the best warranties in the auto industry. Every Mitsubishi vehicle is covered by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile new vehicle warranty, and 7-year/100,000-mile anti-corrosion and perforation limited warranty.
Keep these cars in mind when looking for that new set of wheels. Also, here’s a little list of must-have car tools for the new driver. If Mitsubishi won you over, we have plenty to choose from in our inventory.
