The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Is Driver’s Auto Mart’s Used Car of The Week!
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the ideal adventurous partner, guaranteed to enhance your driving experience. This model year brought an available plug-in hybrid powertrain, which proved to be highly capable. Let’s dive a bit deeper into this Used Car of The Week.
Engine and Driving
The 2022 Grand Cherokee came with two powertrain options: a 3.6-liter V6 and a 5.7-liter V8. The former produced an excellent output of 293 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the latter had even more thrilling figures with 357 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. Both motors are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
This mid-sized Jeep model has incredible driving and capable experience, with a firmer ride than its previous iterations, along with a heavier feel for the steering. The V6 and 8-speed automatic show that teamwork is the dream work, as it holds its own on the road. This SUV was also one of the few in its class to offer the V8 option, though V6 is often a fan favorite. If one did opt for a V8, they would have a quicker drive with more towing capacity.
Exterior
Jeep’s designers hit the nail on the head with the exterior. This model is obviously a Grand Cherokee, though it has a body that is more modern and even minimalistic than its predecessor. Smoldering LED reflective headlights are standard throughout each trim, together with the inconspicuous LED taillights go along with the clean look of the exterior.Â
Interior
The interior space is slightly more lively than the exterior. This upscale cabin has a rich and lively center with materials that are a step above even the most updated models today. The inside isn’t too posh to provide comfort. Most occupants will likely forget that they are even in a vehicle rather than a ritzy lodge.
Standard Features
The base-level Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo trim has a slew of gadgets and gizmos to work with. On top of the standard V6 engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive (RWD), the Laredo trim has a Uconnect 5 infotainment system with an 8.4-inch digital touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa compatibility, and over-the-air software updates.
This trim also includes adaptive cruise control with stop and go, as well as active lane assist. Every trim also involves a programmable digital gauge cluster, blind-spot monitoring, and six USB ports.
