Mitsubishi Motors’ Achieves Record Sales in September 2017
Mitsubishi Motors certainly has made some positive moves over the last couple years and it’s beginning to pay off. The automaker surprised us many times with new vehicles and vehicle models for 2018, debuted the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, and we have a whole new vehicle to look forward to in 2020, the Mitsubishi e-Evolution. Now, in September 2017, Mitsubishi Motors has reached a new record with a report of their best September sales in the last ten years.
Ten years is a long time to trudge along and try for bigger and better things, but Mitsubishi Motors was stubborn to give up. One could say it paid off this year. In September 2017, Mitsubishi sold 8,340 vehicles, and that added up to a 17.2 percent sales increase between September 2017 and September 2016. Can you guess what two vehicles sold the most? The Outlander and Outlander Sport of course.
The Mitsubishi Outlander and Mitsubishi Outlander Sport have been the king crossovers of the Mitsubishi brand for years now, so it’s no surprise they’re still the brand’s two most popular vehicles. There was a total of 2,895 Outlander units sold in September 2017, and that adds up to a 50.4 percent sales increase in comparison to Outlander sales in September 2016. Leading the brand with the most sales for the month was the Outlander Sport. In September 2017 there were 3,140 Outlander Sport units sold, a 22.2 percent increase in comparison to the vehicle’s sales in the previous September.
