University Mitsubishi Re-Model A Debut

It’s alive! The Mitsubishi Re-Model A is alive! In case you forgot, Mitsubishi partnered up with the guys from Pimp My Ride to revive their beloved first car ever, the Mitsubishi Model A. Built with the technology of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, the Re-Model A will also be a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Just last month, September 2017, the Re-Model A PHEV was shown off at Mitsubishi Motors North American HQ, but no pictures of the vehicle were released to the public. That joy is saved for the Los Angeles Motor Show, but there is another way to see it before then.

Option A

If having perused the Mitsubishi Motors website recently, mitsubishicars.com, then one may notice the first carousel image is about the Re-Model A revival, recently constructed by West Coast Customs, the team behind MTV’s Pimp My Ride. With a little history lesson and media covering the construction process, this is one of the ways to get a first-look at the Re-Model A as more build updates are released. Regularly check up on it by visiting Mitsubishi’s web page dedicated to the Model A build.

Although the Los Angeles Auto Show takes place in the first week of December 2017, some of us can’t wait that long to see the new Re-Model A PHEV. Worry not, friend. On November 6th, 2017 at 10 p.m. EST on the Velocity channel, the Mitsubishi Re-Model A will premier on a special episode of Inside West Coast Customs. That’s a Monday by-the-way, a great way to start the week.

This endeavor began in the spring of 2017 and it’s already a finished product ready to be shown off. Gotta hand it to the guys at West Coast Customs, they know what they’re doing and they do it well. Just like all the other vehicles they pimped out on Pimp My Ride, the Re-Model A PHEV will be one-of-a-kind.

“The team at West Coast Customs seamlessly blended our past, present and future together in the form of the Mitsubishi Re-Model A … It’s been an invigorating and exciting project to be a part of and we are excited to share the finished product with everyone. Additionally, this unique build provided us the opportunity to use product integration to highlight Mitsubishi’s all-new Outlander PHEV which comes to market later this year.” – Francine Harsini, senior director, marketing, MMNA.

Remember, the Re-Model A will premiere on Monday, November 6 at 10 p.m. EST on Velocity. If you catch the program, tell us what you think about the new look on social media.
