Mitsubishi Motors is taking the lineup in a new direction, and the main focus has been placed on electrified versions of models in the lineup. Also coming to the scene are Ralliart-inspired models, like the Mitsubishi Mirage Ralliart Edition. Although this model may not go electric with the SUVs in the lineup, the Mirage hatchback returns for 2023. Check out the specs below!

The 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage has four trims – the ES CVT, LE, SE, and BE trims. Across the lineup, the powertrain is made up of a 1.2L MIVEC DOHC engine, capable of generating 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. The model has done away with a manual transmission option for 2023.

Driving and Handling

The new standard across the lineup is the INVECS-III continuously variable transmission (CVS) for smooth transitioning between gears. With the same engine and transmission across all trims, the fuel economy also stays the same. Known as one of the most fuel-efficient hatchbacks on the market, the 2023 Mirage offers a fuel economy of 36 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway.

Style

Exterior Features

Standard features for the exterior include halogen headlights and LED taillights. For automatic LED headlamps, consumers with want to look for the SE (Special Edition) trim. If looking for something more sinister than flashy, the BE trim is the blacked-out edition of the lineup, complete with a “Black Edition” badge, black lug nuts and wheel locks, a black roof spoiler, and black side mirrors. The SE and BE come with rain sensing wipers and 15-inch alloy wheels.

Interior Features

The standard upholstery is cloth, but consumers can enjoy a fabric cloth/syntax leather combination in the SE trim. Every 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage comes with a six-way adjustable driver seat and a four-way adjustable passenger seat. The SE edition also comes with heated front seats, but automatic climate control is standard across the lineup. The SE and BE trims come with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob. A little sporty, the BE comes with red stitching.

The lineup standard is a 7-inch smartphone-link display audio system. This system comes with a four-speaker sound system, AM/FM Radio Bluetooth wireless tech, and Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capability. Each trim comes standard with steering wheel audio and phone controls, and steering wheel voice recognition control.

Safety Features and Warranty

Every 2023 Mitsubishi Mirage comes with advanced dual-stage airbags (including the driver’s knee airbag), three-point seatbelts, anti-locking brakes, active stability control and traction systems, a LATCH child seat tether system, an anti-theft engine immobilizer, and are built with Mitsubishi’s signature RISE body construction. Forward Collision Mitigation system with Pedestrian Detection is a standard advanced safety feature. Available only on the SE trim, consumers can get Lane Departure Warning as well.

All Mitsubishi vehicles are covered by a basic limited warranty for 5 years/60,000 miles, a powertrain limited warranty for 10 years/100,000 miles, 7 years or 100,000 miles of anti-corrosion coverage, and roadside assistance.
