Replacing the Mazda Capella that was available in the 1970s, the Mazda6 was introduced to the American market in 2002. Now in its third-generation, the Mazda6, which has sold over one million units worldwide, is available in three trims that range from the Sport, Touring and the Grand Touring.

ENGINE SPECS

The 2016 Mazda6 is equipped with a 2.5-liter SkyActiv, four-cylinder engine that is paired with a six speed manual or automatic transmission. With a direct injection fuel system and a high compression at 13 to 1, the SkyActiv makes the Mazda6 a very responsive and efficient vehicle. In addition to a smooth ride powered by a 184-horsepower engine, drivers can expect about 26 MPG for city driving and 37 MPG on the highway.

EXTERIOR

The Mazda6 Sport is outfitted with 17-inch alloy aluminum rims and all-season tires and buyers have the option of 10 different exterior colors. The vehicle’s side mirrors are powered and have integrated turn signals that make for a nice visual touch and act as an additional safety feature. The front of the vehicle features halogen headlights with an automatic on and off capability, and the back of the vehicle features LED combination taillights and dual exhaust outlets with chrome tips.
