The 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty truck was released this year (2022) and quickly became a hit with critics and fans alike. This pickup even won the Best CPO Value Award For 3/4 Ton Pickups.

Driver’s Auto Mart possesses a like-new F-250 model with only 1,042 of mileage. Its remarkable features like its hauling and towing capabilities and mighty diesel engines are one of many reasons it’s been chosen as our Used Car of The Week!

Engine

The simple fact is that large trucks need large engines to support them and the Super Duty is no exception. The standard 6.2-liter V8 is already a thrill-seeker with 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. It’s also mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The even larger 7.3-liter V8 powertrain produces an even gutsier output of 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. On top of this, an optional V8 diesel (a 6.7-liter turbocharged engine) possesses the best speed of 450 horses and monumental strength, with 1,050 lb-ft of torque.  It’s no wonder why this type of model achieves a maximum towing power of 37,000 lbs!

Exterior

The 2022 Super Duty trucks are so massive that they look more like monuments rather than vehicles. The base XL includes 17-inch steel wheels (18-inch alloy wheels for the XLT), only becoming bigger the higher the trim. Due to its standard dual rear wheel setup, the F-450 has a wider front track than the rest of the range. Bed lengths are also 6.75 feet and eight feet.

The F-250 Lariat new Sport Appearance package also tacks on a grille, side mirror housings, and bumpers matching the same color as the body. Similarly, the Black Appearance package can now be had on the lower XLT.

Interior and Standard Features

Regular, Super, and Crew make up this model’s cab choices, providing a vast amount of space. The XL model is considered to be more of a work truck as it doesn’t offer as many comfort features, while the XLT is a bit more sophisticated and the Lariat is upscale with leather seating surfaces, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the updated infotainment system.

There are also various storage spaces throughout the vehicle, with a lockable compartment in the Crew Cab underneath the rear seats.

The base XL model consists of single-zone air conditioning, vinyl flooring and upholstery, remote start/lock/unlock, manually extendable side mirrors, trailer sway control, a Trailer Tow Package with 7-pin/4-pin connector, trailer hitch receiver, cargo bed lighting, and a removable tailgate.

Safety features include automatic on/off headlights, hill start assist, and an SOS post-crash alert system. Meanwhile, entertainment features include Wi-Fi for up to 10 devices, AM/FM radio, MP3 player, 4.2-inch display, USB-C port, and four speakers.
